Field notes

Rolespect Pro opens to 100 founding members.

Pro opens today with a 5 day free trial, and the first 100 members lock the founding price for as long as they stay. Here is what it does, what it costs, exactly what it sends and to whom, and why the number is 100.

The short version. The free app does not change, and it stays free. Pro adds an assistant that checks your resume against a posting with proof from your own lines, a Scout that reads your employers' careers pages every morning, and your whole search synced to your own Google Drive. Try it free for 5 days. After that it costs $19.99 a month or $44.99 for three months, tax included, and the first 100 members keep that price for as long as they stay subscribed.

Why 100

Every question Pro answers costs real money. Rolespect pays Anthropic, the company that makes Claude, for each request the assistant handles. Most paid tools in this category keep that cost quiet and sell as many seats as they can. Then the bill comes due, and the assistant gets slower, thinner or rationed in the middle of somebody's search.

Rolespect caps what each member can spend on the assistant, so nobody's search gets rationed because somebody else used more. The founding price is set for the first 100 members, while the real cost per person is still being measured. Those 100 keep $19.99 for as long as they stay subscribed. After seat 100, or on January 4, whichever comes first, the price for new members is $24.99 a month.

A seat counts when the first payment goes through, on day 6 of the trial. A trial you cancel takes no seat. There is no countdown clock on this page. What founding members also get is first access, and a direct line to the person who builds it.

What Pro adds

Everything below sits on top of the free app. None of it replaces your judgment, and none of it writes a line you could not defend in an interview.

A resume check with proof

Apply

Every requirement in the posting is marked with a quote from your own resume. Wording is suggested only where your resume already shows the work. If the proof is not there, it says so.

A cover letter from your own lines

Apply

Every sentence sits beside the resume line it came from. Nothing in the letter claims more than the resume shows.

Ask, on every station

Board to Prepare

Ask a question where you are working. It answers from the posting and your own search, quotes what it relies on, and says plainly when it does not know.

A morning Scout from your own list

Scout

At 6 every morning it reads the careers pages of the employers you chose and emails only the roles that fit your titles and limits. After the first week, a quiet day sends nothing.

Your search in your own Google Drive

Sync

Your career profile, every resume version, your cover letters and your full search history sync to a Rolespect folder in your Drive, so your phone and your computer match. Packets and prep guides save there as Google Docs you can edit.

Your dates on your calendar

Board and Prepare

Interviews and follow up dates go to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook in one press.

Pro includes 60 assistant requests a month. That is the other half of the cap: enough for a steady search, with a ceiling that keeps the bill honest.

What it sends, and to whom

The free app keeps everything in your browser. Pro cannot, because an assistant needs a server. So here is what that server sees.

  • You sign in with Google. Google tells Rolespect your name, your email and an account number. Rolespect never sees your Google password.
  • Each request sends only what that station needs. You see the list before you press. It goes to Rolespect's server and on to Anthropic. Nothing else from your Career File goes with it.
  • Some requests never touch your resume. Research it for me, on Decide, sends the role's title, employer, city, work mode, posting address and posted salary. The Board sends counts only. No role names, no employers, no notes.
  • The server does not keep what you wrote. It does not store or log your resume, the posting, your questions or the answers. Its logs hold the kind of request, whether it worked and its size.
  • The morning Scout and reminders keep only what they need. They keep the titles, employers and dates they run on, and you can turn either one off.
  • Drive access is narrow. Turn on sync and Rolespect keeps one locked Google key that reaches only what Rolespect saved in your Drive. Turn sync off and the key is deleted and handed back to Google. The copy in your Drive stays yours.

The full list, station by station, is on the privacy page.

What does not change

  • Free stays free. Every station in the free app stays free, with no caps. Nothing in it moves behind Pro.
  • No employer pays. No employer pays to rank a job or to reach you, in the free app or in Pro.
  • Nothing invented. Pro never writes experience you do not have, and never rewrites your resume on its own.

The terms, in plain words

  1. $19.99 a month, or $44.99 for three months, for the first 100 members. The three month plan works out to $15 a month. After seat 100, or from January 4 if that comes first, Pro is $24.99 a month for new members. Sales tax is included in both.
  2. Cancel any time. Pro stays on through the time you paid for.
  3. 5 days free. Your first subscription starts with 5 free days. The card goes in up front, and the first charge is on day 6 unless you cancel. You get an email the day before. Cancel during the trial and you pay nothing. One free trial per person and per card. No refund after the first charge, except where the law requires.
  4. Adults only. Pro is for people 18 and over.

Who should skip it

Pro is built for a steady search: weeks of it, a list of employers you check, and more postings than you can read closely by hand. If you are applying to a handful of roles, the free app does the job. If you would rather your resume never reach an AI service, the free app never sends it anywhere. Both are good reasons to stay free, and the free app will not nag you about it.

What this will not tell you

  • That Pro gets you hired. It checks your work and shows its proof. The employer still decides.
  • That the assistant is never wrong. It quotes what it relies on so you can check it. Read the proof before you trust the verdict.
  • When seat 100 sells. No date is promised, because a date would be a guess. The price goes to $24.99 for new members on January 4 either way.
